How to Avoid Deception in the Last Days 🚨

How to Avoid Deception in the Last Days

Candidates for Deception:

1. Those who rely on subjective impressions – The Bible commands us to test the spirit (1 John 4:1).

What does God’s Word say?

2. Those who blindly follow human leaders – No human is infallible; our trust must be in God, not man (Jeremiah 17:5).

3. Those who accept supernatural signs as proof of truth – Jesus warned that false prophets would arise with great signs and wonders (Matthew 24:24).

4. Those susceptible to flattery – Proverbs 29:5 reminds us that flattery lays a trap for the soul.

5. Those unwilling to endure suffering – Christ suffered, and we must arm ourselves with the same mindset (1 Peter 4:1).

6. Those ignorant of Scripture – If you don’t study your Bible, you leave yourself open to deception (Hosea 4:6).

How to Stay Rooted in Truth:

1. Depend on God’s mercy – Only by His grace can we remain faithful. Pride leads to deception (1 Corinthians 10:12).

2. Cultivate humility and the fear of the Lord – God teaches the humble (Psalm 25:9).

3. Base everything on Scripture – If it doesn’t align with the Word of God, reject it (2 Timothy 3:16).

4. Keep your focus on Jesus – The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (Revelation 19:10).

5. If it doesn’t glorify Jesus, it’s not the Holy Spirit – The Spirit always points to Christ (John 16:14).

6. Wait on God’s revelation – Don’t rush ahead of Him (Proverbs 3:5-6).

7. Beware of fantasy – Stay within the boundaries of God’s Word (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

8. Keep it simple and clear – Call things as they are; don’t complicate truth (2 Corinthians 11:3).

9. Sharpen your discernment – Train your spiritual senses to recognize deception (Hebrews 5:14).

10. Love the truth – Those who reject truth will be given over to deception (2 Thessalonians 2:10-11).

🚨Final Warning:

Stay vigilant. Stay in the Word. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Only the love of truth will keep you from deception.

Say this prayer with me 🙏🏾:

Heavenly Father,

In these last days, I ask for wisdom, discernment, and a love for Your truth. Your Word says that deception will come, but those who abide in You will stand firm. Keep my heart humble, my mind sharp, and my spirit sensitive to Your voice.

Lord, guard me from false teachings, flattery, and deception. Let me not be swayed by signs and wonders but anchored in Your unshakable Word. Strengthen me to endure trials and remain faithful, no matter the cost.

Fill me with the fear of the Lord, the love of truth, and the guidance of Your Holy Spirit. Let my eyes stay fixed on Jesus, and may everything I do glorify you.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
