As I sit here reading Judges, this verse made me pause:

✨Then Manoah said to the Angel of the LORD: ‘What is Your name, that when Your words come to pass we may honor You?’ And the Angel of the LORD said to him, ‘Why do you ask My name, seeing it is WONDERFUL? (Judges 13:17–18)✨

He didn’t say don’t honor me… don’t worship me…I’m just a fellow servant.

Nah, He said, put some respect on my name because it is WONDERFUL! 🤣

That Hebrew word “wonderful” means secret, incomprehensible, beyond understanding, too marvelous to explain.

I started to realize that Jesus wasn’t hiding from Manoah — He was actually revealing himself by saying that His name and nature is beyond human grasp. 🤯

This verse is directly linked to Isaiah 9:6:

✨And His name shall be called WONDERFUL Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.✨

Many wrestle with this truth. They think the “Angel of the LORD” was just a created angel, but that isn’t the truth… The Hebrew word Mal’akh (or Malachi) simply means messenger.

Messengers can be angels, human, or a divine messenger (mal’akh YHWH).

This is why Malachi 3:1 says:

✨Behold, I will send my (human) messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, EVEN THE (divine) MESSENGER OF THE COVENANT (Jesus), whom ye delight in: Behold, He is coming, says the LORD of hosts✨

Jesus has always existed as the VISIBLE manifestation of the INVISIBLE God — even before He became flesh and blood.

Say this Prayer With Me 🙏🏾:

Lord Jesus, I honor You as the visible image of the invisible God. From everlasting to everlasting, You are the Messenger of the Covenant, the Prince of Peace, the Mighty God. Thank You for revealing Yourself through Scripture, reminding me that You are not hidden, but constantly unveiling Your glory to those who seek You.
